Need a case for my flagship rig.

Most importantly, I want it to look good.
I don't like lots of neon lights and crud like that and I'm not overly keen on see-through sides either.

I would prefer something with smooth curves and flowing lines (not keen on boxy looking things with sharp corners).

How about a beer can shaped one ;)

Lol, I was only jesting ;) . I'd personally go for some Panaflo L1 fans and 7V them.

I know mate - although part of me did toy with the idea for a minute just out of curiosity :D

Think I'll go with Yewens suggestion of the Ambers since they're on "This week only" (if he explains how to volt mod them, never done it before :o ).

Stan :)

Hmmmm, beer can shaped case - might be time to have a word with the guys who do the metal cladding for our insulation :D

http://www.cpemma.co.uk/7volt.html - Its all in the sticky :p God damn new people with low post counts not reading it :p

Also you can buy little volt modding adapters, if I remember correctly the Ambers come with them, can someone please confirm this? (Im 90% sure they do, beer is evil to your brain :( )

Ok, well the stable overclock will probably be what is known as 'stock' :p

How it go?

You're not far off mate :(

I can get it to do a 1Mb Superpi at 270x10 but cant get it prime stable at anything past 255x10

Think it's time to leave it for now.

Will have a go at the 4000+ San Diego in the morning - surely I'll have better luck with that.

Then on to the X2 4400+ Toledo - looking forward to that one and then the 2.4 Northwood, I think she'll do well.

I'm practicing for when I get the Opty set up :D

Stan :)

And if noise doesn't bother you, then I still think the CM Wavemaster is the nicest looking case ever made, but it has 80mm fans and not-so-great airflow. :)

Have agree with paradox here, 20 months ago I paid £160 for my black wavemaster and sidepanel and I havent regretted my decision at all.

I have 4 akasa 80mm ambers hooked up to an aerogate fan controller and it's very quiet.

My temps are pretty decent, it can get warm at times but nothing extravagant, maybe a couple of degrees max.

It's a top quality case and by far the best looking case imo! Bar the fact it attracts dust like a . . . dust attracting machine :p

I've pretty much set my heart on the 830 now, although I would imagine that with 9 case fans, there will be a modicum of dust involved too

I was talking about the outside of the case :o

It attracts dust like nothing you've seen

Besides, I love dusting my baby to glossy shine every couple of days :D

Check out more pics of the Wavemaster, you need to set your heart on it dammnit :p
