Hi All,
I have a good spec PC
AMD quad Phenom2 965 oc @ 4Ghz
2 X 2GB dominator ram
asus formula 1 mobo
ATI HD5800 toxic
Win7 Ult 64bit
I got from OC last year,

Unfortunately, i had to cut back on money and use an old 250GB 7200 seagate Hard drive as my old raptor got the dreaded clicking..

My current HD is constantly full and im fed up with moving everything over to my EXT when i start running out of space..

I need to get a newer/faster one as recording using fraps whilst playing it lags bad due to write speed.

I need at least 80GB just for windows/software/games i have installed.
I have about £90 to spend, not sure what to go for..

Any ideas please?

or another velociraptor 300gb

i heard there is one for sale in the MM ;)

(edit., i just noticed you dont have enough posts for MM yet, nevermind )

MM is the members market, its an area on here to buy and sell second hand stuff

but you need to have 250 posts to get to it.....

I've never understood the philosophy in that..
You'll get inundated with crappy posts to get to 250..
Should be based on time aswell.. especially as ive done over 3 grand at OC and recommend about 5!
nevermind
Ill check the raptors and SSDs for about £100, wont touch fleabay

What id like to do is purchase a New drive, and somehow clone my current drive onto the new one so that i dont have to install windows games software etc on the new one.

As much as id like a fresh install, this PC took me weeks to install drivers as the formula3 mobo & sound was a right pain.
Is this possible and what would be the best way to do it plz.?

You can use any number of methods to do this;

- Built in image creation tool on Windows 7 backup & restore centre.
- Acronis true image (free trial).
- Easeus Todo Backup (free).
- Clonezilla (free).

I would just use the built in image creation tool on Windows 7 which works a treat.
