It looks Like my long suffering gigabyte Vega 64 is on its last legs, so I'm looking for a replacement.

I have a budget of £300-£500. Though I would like to stay under £400, unless the extra cash really makes a big performance difference.

I'm at work at the moment so don't know the monitor model number. But it's a 1080 144mhz model.
I have no immediate plans to go above that resolution.

PC is a Athlon 7 5800X on a MSI B550 motherboard.
16gb of RAM and an 850w PSU.

I appreciate any suggestions.

If possible, I would probably hold off until Black Friday. Then, you might manage to get a reduced 7700XT or 7800XT.

The 7700XT fits your budget, but with the cheapest here being £450, I think it's too much for what it delivers.
The 7800XT is slightly over your maximum budget (cheapest here is £515), but as said, it may come down in price later in the year.

Aside from that, if you're fine with something from a previous generation, then the 6700XT is a decent option.
The 6750XT is not much faster, costs more, and sucks the same power as the 6800.

There are also the 4060Ti class of cards, and although within budget at below £400, the 8 GB of video memory is no more than what you currently have.

Thanks, a friend did suggest a 6700XT.
A 7700XT does sound nice though, go big while I've got the cash. Maybe...

While waiting for a sale is probably wise, I kind of need something now.

Budget wise the 6700xt offers great value but top end of your budget £500 the 7800xt which is 43% faster on average and at least 15,% faster than the 7700xt.

At 1080p and no plans to change resolution i'd just spend £300 on a 6700XT if I were you, especially as your card sounds like it's on the way out pretty soon.

If you were at 1440p or thinking of upgrading to 1440p soon and your card wasn't dying, I'd say buy a 7800XT when you go 1440p.

6700XT is going to be a very good card at 1080p for a long time yet. It is still a good card at 1440p.

Any recommendations on brands for a 6700XT?
I've heard Sapphires good, but can't seem to get the Nitro+ version anywhere.
Is the "Pulse" version still a good buy?

Yes the Pulse's are good. Sapphire makes the best AMD cards.
