Need a shell scripter

Can anyone recommend a site where you can hire people to knock up some scripts for you for a fee? My scripting sucks and I've got something that needs finishing that I'd much prefer someone else to do quickly and properly rather than me getting annoyed for 2 weeks. Had a browse around elance and oDesk so far. Just wondering if anyone's used a site like these for something similar?

Out of interest, what do you need them to do, are they pretty complex?

Not really. I've just never been trained in scripting but need it for an occassional element to my work. I'd much rather pay someone to save me the anguish of fumbling through what I need to do.

Getting annoyed for two weeks to get a valuable skill is not such a bad deal... over the years.. I also sniff at most "scripting language" "programmers", but shell script is an /essential/ skill....

It's like learning the basics of 'vi', 'sed', 'awk', 'find' and so on; sounds retrograde, until you actually realise the power..

Just be warned, if you go to a site where people anonymously do this sort of thing for you you might end up on the receiving end of a project produced by a never ending line of noobs looking for a profit.
