Need a sort of RAID0...

Right at the moment I have a 1tb green that I use for my media and share round the house but its getting full.. So I was wondering is there any software that will see 2 hdds as 1, so when the 1st hdd gets full the new empty one takes over?

I would use raid 0 but if 1 hdd fails, your screwed.

Ummm, I was going to get a 2-3tb hdd and just transfer everything over from my 1tb hdd. But I thought I ask you guys if there was anyway to extend 1hdd to another without looking through 2 hdds.

What about JBOD? Doesnt this join hdds together, and if so do I need a JBOD controller card, or can my motherboard sata ports do this with software?
