need advice asap

Cant use PS4/PS3 controllers since having Xbox 360 + Xbox One.

I also have a Scuff Controller + Xbox Elite Controller :D

The Elite is an amazing controller which is far better that any Scuff controller, cheaper too! :)

As everyone has said its literally down to personal preference... the consoles are virtually the same in Hardware/Graphics. However think about the exclusives too! I often debate getting a PS4 due to Last of us, Uncharted and Until Dawn

No they are not. The PS4 has better hardware and consistantly runs games at a higher resolution and on occasion extra graphical effects.

Buy both consoles, cheap enough 2nd hand.

lol wut?

i sold a second hand launch day ps4 with 2 games for £300 about 2-3 weeks ago which is pretty much brand new pricing.

people still pay stupid money for second hand consoles.

i'd much rather buy brand new and be covered by SOGA for 5-6 years than pay £20 less and risk it breaking after 2 weeks. IMO you would stupid to buy second hand because the price difference is literally nothing in it.

No they don't I've sold and bought 2 Xbones for 180 and 200 and I've seen PS4s not go for much more, for the price of a mid/high end graphics card you could buy both consoles.

its all down to preference my friend..
Any particular exclusives your excited about??
That will be your number 1 sway towards the right console for you..

If it is mainly COD you will be playing.. Like myself..
Id recommend PS4 for a few reasons:

1. PS4 is the Call of Duty Capital now.. Gamebattles, tournaments are placed on the ps4.. Not that it will appeal to you, but its the console for that game now..
2. Map packs.. a big thing about call of duty expansion... It comes to the ps4 1 month before it hits xbox... Not that its a massive game changer.. But always nice...
3. The ps4 is more powerful than the xbox one..
So if your only playing COD games, why not play them at the better qualities?
Normally = PS4 - 1080p 60fps.. XBOX ONE 720p 60fps..
Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on the PS4 was 1080p 60fps, XBOX ONE 720p 60fps
Call of Duty Black ops 3 on the PS4 is 1080p 60fps, XBOX ONE 1080p 30FPS...

Not even guna go into the detail of the xbox fps dips on graphically demanding intervals.. Like explosions etc.. Personally, that was my biggest hate when i had an xbox one (owned it for 6 days, hated it, got a ps4,, never looked back)...
4... the controllers are SOO much nicer on ps4!
the analogue sticks are more touch sensitive.. they pickup on tiny thumb stick movements better.. and not to mention the controller lag thats FAMOUS with the xbox one...
Basically, controller movements and button pressed have a slight delay on the xbox... its plastered all around the internet...
Also the xbox one is funny about video lag too!
having a TV with GAME MODE, helps a lot..
But that ***** just annoying, when all you want to do is play a game!!

Also, i prefer the ps4 over other small benefits..
May not be much of a thing for some people, but i really like the PS4's ability to upgrade the internal hard drive..
i fitted my ps4 with a 2tb SSHD
(SSHD is a large storage platter drive, hence the 2tb capacity,, but also has built in SSD too.. the hard drive detects most used data, and puts it on the SSD portion of the hard drive.. So in that case, would be the PS4 operating system itself..
So boots are a lot faster, and there is a slight increase in Game loading times too..
Since the ps4 doesnt play off disk, more the hard drive install.. its brilliant...
Also the need for a larger Hard drive...
Some game installs are 40gb+!!!!!!!

Although the PS4 hits the mark a lot better, isn't eh XO version also technically 60fps?, can you source where they made it to a locked 30fps?

Also, the sensitivity issue on the XO controllers and the "Famous" input lag?...cause...its the first I have ever heard of it, so again, would love a source on that.

Sort of. :p

I have both but I just can't get on with the Xbox controller at all. Not quite sure why one thumb is higher than the other. PS4 controller is perfect.

I sorta get what you mean. The PS3 controller was way too small in my hands, but I did prefer the analogue stick arrangement, however the 360 controller did feel nice to hold.

the DS4 on the PS4 to me is about as perfect a controller I could ever need, and after using it for some time, I ended up ditching all my 360 controllers on my PC for the DS4. I've also held the X1 and used it for forza games etc, and I felt the X1 controller was a bit of a step back from the 360 controller. Its all subjective, but for me the DS4 is a very comfortable, and enjoyable controller comparable to a DS3 and edges the 360 out as my preferred controller.

The Xbone version of BO3 runs at 1600x900 "natively" but dynamically reduces the resolution on the fly in an attempt to maintain 60fps. The PS4 doesn't exactly the same thing albeit starting at 1080p. No idea where 1080/30 comes from.

The main reasons which dictate which console is recommended have already been covered but if you are only going to play BO3 (or COD in general) it seems like the PS4 is the better platform to go for (out of the two consoles anyway).

Controller wise I am in the camp of both having advantages and disadvantages and neither is a clear winner. The Xbone pad however lasts noticeably longer on a battery charge.

I own both and tbh I don't see a huge amount of difference graphically between the same games on each. I like that the One is silent my PS4 can get noisy and it's the new model.

I would not worry about hardware specs and buy which has the better controller for you and the exclusive games you want to play.

Both are good and you will have fun with either.

I have both and I play my X1 by far the most. I've the Forza 6 edition which comes with a pad with diamond rubber grip and it's the best controller I've used. Really into all 5 of the Halo's too, currently 5. Masterchief collection is pure class and bargain of the century, shame I can't seem to get online multiplayer working, but once I've done Halo 5 campaign will try that multiplayer.

Oh and Forza 6 is the best this generation driving game bar none.

Still undecided if the opener of the thread is a troll, nether the less I give my 2 pence.
