Need advice on OC'ing Asus Sabertooth Z77 with i7 3770K

EDIT:
Failed after 17hrs...but 17hrs is a long time.
I'll go to 4.5, and change the offset.

I have a stable - so far - 4.2
Offset at o.o5
Dram at 1.5
Llc on high
And cpu capacity to 130%

Temps are also extremely good at around 65c:

Trying offset of 0.1 @ 4.2ghz

Would appreciate any input...seems like I'm talking to a wall unfortunately.

I would like to help you mate but im a noob when it comes to this.

Well... I got my new PC built this weekend with the help from a good friend. We had some issues where we could not get the SSD caching (RST) working and then found out we needed to use raid BEFORE installing the system... so after installing windows/drivers ext for a second time everthing started to work lol.

I was a bit miffed that the Z77 Sabertooth board didnt come with the auto overclocking software that the Z77 WS board comes with *pout*. I would have liked to have run that first to see what the mobo classed as a safe overclock with my board/chip/memory. See 15:30 into this vid! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7jwCe0QXT0

Same here bro!
I was surprised I didn't see it included.
Rendering that AI Suite II thing completely useless to me, as doing it via the bios was easier, and more stable.

Atm on high thus 50%
I also have it running on p95 for the last 11hrs with no errors :)
It's at 4.2ghz though.

Not sure why you are managing such a small overclock, you should be aiming for 4.6GHz really. I'd recommend bumping up the CPU Voltage Frequency (Not offset voltage) a notch or two and then try for 4.6GHz.

No idea my man.
But what voltage do you suggest?
I know this is greatly dependant, but would like to know what to aim for.

Any suggestions?
I'll take bios screenshots now of what ran for 15hrs.

New try at 4.2ghz - after last one was 16hrs stable:

Right now I've gone on 1.2v manual.

Right that failed within 3hrs...

But cheers for the suggestion. I'll try that next.

Do you suggest xmp profile or not?

When i first tried to oc my 3770k i was using an asrock z77e itx mobo which got me to 4.8ghz using 1.4v but now im Using a slightly different board, an MVG board and been failing a little at it, but reading through this has stabilized my 4.7ghz oc @ 1.34v and only hitting between 33c and 41c (I have de lidded my i7) once this test is fully passed I'm going to go for 4.8ghz again but I'm hopefully only gonna use 1.38v maybe 1.4v again.

I forgot to switch off the C states this time round but this this board has so many other oc'ing features that I think is really helping to bring down my volts and help with stability!

Thinks for posting so well :)

Ok shocking revelation (get it haha) just put the volt meter on my MVG and the CPU is pulling 1.327v when turboEvo sensor is telling me 1.344 and cpuz is telling me 1.344v! I'm so pleased this board has volt reading points to give a tru reading
