Need for Speed Carbon Demo on Marketplace

I'll still probably like it even if it has framerate problems, NFS Most Wanted is still one of the most enjoyable games I've played on the 360.

Agreed and even though im having a hell of a time trying to beat the last 2 muppets on the Most wanted list, i absolutely love this game...cant believe i left it lying there for such a long time.

My porsche cayman sends shivers down my spine especially when im hitting close to 200mph+ on the highways:p.

The framerate issues are evident (I usually dont notice) its not 60fps well at least i dont think it is.

Its good from what ive seen in demo the Canyon racing pretty fun. :)

Just saw you setting up a game in it, I was like :o

Downloading now. Better be worth the size.

God what a load of absolute rubbish this game/demo is.

I loved NFS:MW but this is just utter carp.

The cars feel just plain odd, the races are well stupid (wtf is the crew thing about) and the drifting was a joke.

The graphics are well not very good for a next gen console (certainly worse than MW) and the framerate in some sections (the canyon race) are appaulling. Not consitant at all.

I was really hoping for another most wanted just set in a different area but this has really put me off.

Certainly won't be buying it.

Dammit that wasted going on 2 hours of live time.

although i did enjoy most wanted on 360 i prefer the underground series and underground 2 is my favorite need for speed , downloading now , what are the gfx like ??? i might just buy it for 360 and not 360 and pc if it looks good .

Interesting.

;)

I'm liking the way you can change your car yourself, although they probably couldn't be bothered to make all the stuff themselves so just stuck that in.

I personally find the drifting easy to what it used to be. Takes some getting used to though.

I shall sum this demo up in one word.

Terrible.

Its good that MS allow us to demo the games first for free. I think it will certainly have a massive influence on what games are bought.

Why didn't you both like it?

Poor framerate and poor graphics. It just seems a step backwards from Most Wanted which I liked.

oweneades explains it rather well.

I wonder how close the code is to the final game. Must be close if it's coming out in a month I guess. Oh well I was hoping it would be good...

You and me both! I dunno if I'm being too harsh or not, the frame rate still drops like Most Wanted did, the drifting was just annoying and the car I was driving just felt odd.

It just doesn't seem like a step forward at all. Maybe that's typical for EA :(

The demo was awful, horrible blur effects, poor framerates with noticable sudden drops. It's like they've taken the worst bits of NFS Underground and NFS Most wanted and created something truly dire.
