Do you no if Lumines Live is going to have the original music in it the same as on the PSP as that is the only reason i loved it because of the trance music :D

PS: And do you no when it will be on the markeplace?

No idea to be honest, I could have sworn I read something saying it was due this week but I could have dreamed it!

Downloading the demo now but not expecting much after reading the above posts...

I find it shocking that 360 games (Particularly EA ones) are still suffering bad framerates and slow down....Early games i accepted it but we're nearly a year into the 360 and still games are suffering from it....I personally think it's now unforgiveable sending games out that suffer such problems :(
Perhaps it is a consequence (albeit not an inevitable one in my opinion) of developing a game for several platforms at once, particularly consoles of different generations. ie. the PS2 and Xbox.

Hopefully the next NFS game will be purely on the 360 and PS3 only (and PC I guess) so they will develop it to a higher standard.

It is disappointing if this game is as bad as it sounds. The last really good NFS game was NFS Underground I think (on the PC anyway - not the 30fps console versions which lack the sense of speed). NFSU2 was poor and MW although fun for a while, had many flaws in my opinion.

Well I had to leave it downloading overnigt so I'll try it when I get home. If it really is that bad I might have to consider Import Tuner Challenge for my riced up car fix

Has anyone here played Import Tuner Challenge then? I was hoping it would be good as I liked the Dreamcast versions.

Only seen clips and screenies, it looks absolutely dire from those.

Yeah I saw the Gamespot review :) I know the Tokyo Extreme Racer games on the DC were very much an acquired taste, which resulted in them getting many average or poor reviews, with a relatively small number of good ones. And on the face of it they were pretty simplistic games. But they did have a surprising amount of depth and longevity I think. So low scores for the 360 version isn't necessarily a bad thing... :) I mean, I still might like it.

Well downloaded the demo last night but didnt get a chance to play it but just had about 30 mins of trying it and i have to admit...this game has got me foaming at the mouth:p. I already love this game, especially the drifting bit...mucho fun that is. The Canyon race is awesome simply awesome...definitely my pre-order for this is going to remain. Cant wait for this game to be released now that im almost finished NFS MW.

As for the people saying theres a lot of stuttering and what not...well i havent really noticed any major slowdowns...yes it does tear in places but christ do you guys actually play the game or are you too busy trying to look at the scenery:p....Bah bad framerates etc...just dont buy an EA game if your going to be that fussy..in fact dont buy a 360 period if it means that much to you lol.

Seriously this game rocks...that gamespot review is pretty full of **** if u ask me and im one of those fellas that dont give a flying toss about stupid reviews from a reviewer....who may not like racing/driving games:p.

.

It doesnt normally bother me, I loved MW and people complained about the framerate on that.

Carbon is just awful though to be honest, in just about every aspect. Graphics, handling, presentation, annoying voice over during the race etc...

Hmmm well ill have to disagree with that, but then i havent really played it much...just had a quick 20 min blast on it and from what i could see...it looked pretty good to me...although getting used to night time racing is going to be interesting. At the moment till i get the full retail version of it, i definitely prefer NFS MW but even that annoys me somewhat...the handling on MW isnt very good...just seems to skid a lot when your trying to get out of a tight jam with the police.
Handling wise i cant really see muchc of a difference between this and MW, if anything the cars seem to handle the same...ie the lambo handles like it does in MW. Although ill admit the only thing that i can think of that i dont like is this rubbish auto sculpt??...what the hell is that all about. I just hope they havent ditched the tuning aspects of MW in this one...it would be a crying shame if they did...as i definitely love that about MW.

i loved MW and the framerate in this is much better, Graphics are no worse than MW, handling is the same, presentation is the same as N4SU series and the voice overs during the race is no different then MW with the cops and actually is required now as you can give instructions to your crew to block other racers, ect,ect whilst in race. I think the problem is people just don't like the direction N4S series has gone with its riced racer style and neons everywhere, but if it sells bucket loads which it does can you really blame them for not doing another.

Me personally, i love it, and its no different than lets say the Pro Evo lot who continue to buy the same game every year with not much added which i cannot stand or the Fifa lot that do the same, but they sells loads also.

This is basically N4SU 3 now with cops from MW and at night (again), but hey i'm not complaining and cannot wait to start and finish the game like i did with N4SU, N4SU2 and N4SMW, just like the majority of you will enjoy Pro Evo Soccer which IMHO has been going backwards the past few years.

I thought it was ok, feels like it needs a bit of speed injected into it though. Although maybe that comes as you get faster cars or upgrade them.

Drifting... hmm. I liked it, hated it then I got it and I think its ok. Its all about long sustained drifts at 20 to 30 degrees ish rather than bung it one way 90 degrees then swing it back round the other which is how I remembered NFS:U2

Autosculpt or whatever its called sucks big style. I'm hoping you still upgrade like you did before and just use that to tweak it slightly. In which case I wouldn't need to touch it ever again which suits me fine :p

EDIT- OK, just tried it again with the muscle car... less impressed :(

I might be tempted to go down the Import Tuner Challenge route instead. Either way it will be a rental so no big deal really.

Just finished the demo and the above sums up me feelings fairly well. I through the graphics looked alright and didn’t seem to have many frame rate issues. The races seemed like good fun to me, thought the drifting was a little odd

Not played the demo yet and judging by the responces here ill give it a miss.

EA have failed to make a good racing game since NFS road challenge. Although I did like the original NFS U on the original Xbox.

PMSL you cant be serious can you??, you take everyones opinion on the game here so strongly that you have decided to give it a miss??...strange way of looking at games if you ask me:confused:.
Personally its nice to have different views on the game but i wouldnt let someones opinion of a game make a big impact on whether i buy it or not.
Seriously download the demo, it wont kill you nor will it cost u anything other than download time...try it out and if you dont like it then fair enough, just delete the demo. What one person likes you may not like and vice versa...
Remember its a demo so not the complete game but from what i have seen and played with it, i was quite impressed but then i must be easily pleased...will have to ask the gf about that:eek::p.
Trust me it isnt that bad a game as some make it out to be, i think a lot of people here expect too much. It was the same with NFS MW, a lot of people didnt like it...hell i admit i wasnt too fond of it but once i started playing it....i fell in love with it, although just recently ive been trying to finish it off as the last couple of weeks i was busy with TDU...but thats kinda gathering dust at the mo till i finish off NFS MW..

I agree. I thought it was ok when I was playing about with the Evo, the Camaro thought was awful :( Will try the Lambo tonight and hopefully that will be ok. Otherwise playing through the game trying to avoid 2/3 of the cars won't be much fun.
