Need For Speed HEAT (going back to its roots?)

It's alright. Graphics are kinda hit or miss, HDR is nice but no adjustments possible, music is hit or miss as well, story - meh, and the main course, the driving is kinda lame. It's the nerfed physics of it all that really detracts, and it's just too much on rails.

For $3-4 as part of Origins Access? Sure. For full price? Hell no!

Nonetheless, it's a good step forward for them I think. Maybe the next one is gonna be better and they can start rivalling the Forza guys.

Yeah, no way Id have paid full price, the racing is pretty poor compared to something like Grid, it looks nice in the rain.

Agreed, Shift and Shift 2 were technical enough to be interesting but arcadey enough to not be a chore. I do still enjoy a blast on Shift 2 now and again.

Yeah I have been known to fire it up for a blast, like you said pretty technical and arcade oriented with decent tracks and cars.

Prostreet was really good, very very similar to Underground 1 but it flew under the radar. Carbon was very similar to Underground 2 aswell, but came out when people were riding high off of MW.

I never really liked any of the open world games tbh.
Probably won't buy the new one unless it's something really special.

They should remake NFS2SE along with some great cut-scenes for each car and a great sound-track

I decided to go with the £3 a month sub on origin as i wanted to try a few games, NFS Heat is included with a 10hr trial which is more than enough to test it.

It's not brilliant, it just feels all generic and annoying but it's playable ...

Thanks eekfek, I was thinking it was going to be another generic grind, and you have answered my question, will stick to Pcars2.
