First try at this combo - once again limited for time this week but hopefully I'll get more track time than I did last week :(

Excellent driving guys. Good job.
Special mention to inam. Great time mate. Gonna be hard for me to beat that.

Thanks Nikaz, it was a clean lap as well almost.:). If you see the condition of my car in the screen shot you will know what i mean.

I'm still wondering the best way through the tunnel, I think that's where time is easily lost. Sometimes I get through smoothly without touching the walls
by firm braking as I get into the red line, but my time doesn't improve, and other times, I go through it zytok style running as much of the red line at full speed while hard steering right before hitting a wall, and come out of the tunnel a second faster or at least the same. How are you guys handling the tunnel?

Try to avoid heavy impact other wise you will loose momentum, this is quite fast corner compare to the turn in london royal mile circuit.

Cheers inam, good advice.

Well, dunno how I managed it and didn't think I could get below 52 seconds, but I did, yay! And for once, I'm in front of danswan, but probably not for long :p

I'm glad you are enjoying the combo guys, i'd been waiting for this track to come up as i think it's one of the best ones. i was originaly going to go with the Lexus LFA but went with the DB9R as you cant tune it and i think that makes for a more level playing field, because I still cant get my head around the tuning...

I'm sure you'll be selecting the combo soon enough Merlin5 with the times your posting this week.

Unfortunately i'm away for most of this week so i'm not sure if i'll be able to get a session in myself, lol...

Think I'm looking for mid 50's to be challenging you inam this week. Excellent time inam.
And well done danswan, mercyless & Merlin for getting into the 51's. Shows great skill & control

Is an excellent combo that's for sure. I'm thoroughly enjoying it as I'm sure are the others.
Shame you may not get a decent go at it yourself though, especially as it's your nomination this week.

Excellent combo mate, i love fast cars with plenty of grip available which suites my aggressive driving style.

would someone mind posting a video? Just I cannot get under 53 secs no matter what I do...I know where I can make up the time but I just not consistent enough. Seeing Merlin5 get under 52 secs is telling me I am definitely doing something wrong lol. Awesome time BTW Merlin5 :D

Now there's a backhanded compliment if ever I saw one. :D

But seriously, cheers mate, I'll try and post a video of how I'm running the course. Here's some tips though of the way I'm doing it. As you come out of the tunnel, DON'T brake. You have to momentarily (VERY momentarily) come off the gas and steer HARD right slightly earlier than you might expect to at the precise moment the line turns red, then get back on the gas immediately and up over onto the bridge. THAT has made all the difference for me. If you're at 0:30 seconds as you're heading towards the bridge after exiting that tunnel, you've a good chance of making sub 52 seconds. Also, run the tunnel as quick and far as you can steering hard right, changing down from 5th to 4th while still moving, don't bother to brake. You'll undoubtedly hit the left wall as I do, but that's ok. But foot off the gas when you do or the car will continue to hug the wall and slow you down. If you take your foot off once it hits, you can hit the gas immediately after in 4th gear and you'll be moving very quickly again and coming out of the tunnel at about 0:29 secs.

Also, at the very start of the lap, don't brake as it turns sharp left just after the chequered marking on the ground. you can either stay in 5th or what I always do is change down to 4th gear to hold the car without needing to brake. Then veer fairly hard right to keep with the racing line and keeping the momentum.
