Need for Speed Shift - Time Trial Championship

Getting quicker

For the power this car possesses I'm expecting to fly between the corners but for some reason it feels sluggish to me. Keep shouting at the screen 'Come on!!. Is fun to slide it about though.

i rekon theres a good .4 ~ .6 seconds a lap with my current setup... cant quite string a clean lap together at the mo :( lol

I've done 1.27.810.

I reckon I can do a time in the 1.26's with more practice. Already been 0.6 up on my best, but blew it in the second last corner.

Loving the game, just wished they'd fix the stuttering into corners.

first decent time, took some time 'learn' some tuning ;)

Mine stutters all the time with and without fraps running :(

I dont get stuttering into corners, used to get a bit of dodgy front end bounce, but nothing a bit of suspension tweaking didnt cure ;)

Could do better but at least it's into the 33's

Reckon I can get to 31 not sure I could do any faster though - still will keep trying though :)

We need a tuning master class :)

Some tuning advise, i know im not the fastest ......(yet, lol) but thought id share my findings, ground breaking they are not.

I took some time last night to listen to each explination of what each setting does, (yer obvious i know) and i found that if i set the car (for this car/track) for lots of oversteer, and then tweak it away from this until the car is stable, it took me a couple of hours to get a decent setup, but i went from 1.36 laptimes to 1.29 within that time frame.

I can see why people are frustrated with this game, but take my word for it, learn the tuning section, and you set much better lap times. No one can really tell you what there settings actually are because not every setup will suit every player. Just get a exagerated start point (oversteer is best personally) and rain the car in from there.

Hope this helps :)

yea i went down a similar route Wedge... & i made it a WHOLE lot worse before i found settings that suited me.

Bizzarely enough i started from the oposite end, Major understeer & dragged it back from there :D
Would be nice if you could save setup profiles... tis a pita trying to remeber what i changed last... my own fault for dabbling too much in the advanced settings :D

But at the mo i race around like a demented idiot for a couple of sessions then have a tweak... and repeat... many times lol
