^ Need for Speed Shift ^

Sometimes looking at some posts I feel like pc gamers deserve the treatment they get from developers. You should be happy that a good racing gaming is coming out and especially we(pc gamers) should be grateful.

Yeah thats the crash i meant. I do see your point in some bits tho but im just guessing its a early build still there running or as you said in noob mode.

It isn't just PC gamers this game is aimed at, or just PC gamers who are critical of another NFS game taking the 'sim' route like the disastrous ProStreet.

there will always be 'for and against' no matter how good or bad some software is, maybe its just human nature to go against something that personally isnt what they want.

i also think PC gamers set the bar a lot higher with their software than console players, and having had many games fail to deliver after extensive advertising and false claims i suppose fuels over-reaction sometimes.

however making assumptions about a game without testing it or trying it can make them seem foolish,...

well basically the reason why we/i'm being negative about it, is because the developers were saying it was a propper driving game - competition to forze, gran turismo and the like, or like grid, but from what ive seen it wont offer any where near that realism

I'm making the assumption that it is a sim type game on closed circuits rather than an open world street racing game with cop chases... is that a foolish assumption? I don't think so.

thats fine as the video of the bloke testing one car on one circuit might not be indicitave of the whole game.

the different modes ie arcade and sim may be worlds apart in terms of gameplay which is why im not making any rash assumptions until ive seen them and tried them.

no you have made assumptions the game will fail and its boring purely because they havent made this game to your personal specifications.

the title of the game is 'Need for Speed Shift' and nowhere has it been marketed as a cop chase or open world racer, with all the previews and footage its clear the game has taken a different route.

no matter how many times you state your complaints the game isnt going to change, all im saying is wait until its released, read some reviews or heaven forbid actually try it before deciding its fate !!

does that seem fair ?

The game fails as an NFS game because it ISN'T an NFS game except in name. Failure is guaranteed and it's amazing that EA haven't learned from the ProStreet disaster.

in all fairness all we we're saying is i hope its as good as its cracked up to be... some of the gameplay videos suggest otherwise.. i dont see anything wrong with that.. if we didnt debate things liek this then these forums would be dead

By the way what was pro street like/ meant to be like? i never played it
