it does look like it... with oulton park and brands I really hope the game is decent...

edit: by decent I mean a 'sim' style, I'm not saying arcade games aren't decent but I wouldn't buy another one, I personally don't get any longevity out of an arcade racer
 
I think will as sim like as Forza 2 or any other console sim games. But by default it's going to be extremely arcady just so most fans of the original NFS series will be at home. Disable some of the assists etc and it will probably feel like Frozza (with assists).

I doubt it will be any more arcadey than Pro Street, even with all the assists on. And most NFS fans found that game very dull.

I wish they would remake NFS 1 with modern GFX and Physics, get all the cars from the whole NFS series, get some really nice long point to point drives rather than track racing like the original coastal and alpine roads from NFS1 but longer.
I would buy that like a shot.
 
From what I have heard there are going to be three versions of NFS

NFS Shift is sim based, a version of NFS Most Wanted will be released as a free to play browser game and then another NFS game which will follow in the same vein as all the NFS games before.

after buying undercover at release, and packing it back up for return after 15 mins has really made me think twice about the franchise. funny enough i didnt mind pro street somewhat, i have lost my appetite after undercover and will be waiting to see what others think of it before i buy this.
