Need for Speed Time Trial Championship ** Season 2 ** (Multiplatform)

<snip>

Got a better lap time by using 4th gear for the first corner after long straight.
Still can't quite master the right hander with the bump,i'm using 3rd at the moment so i don't spin wheels coming out of corner.

I'm using 3rd for T1 but our gearing may differ.
I'm trying different lines through that bump corner.
At the moment I'm taking a wider entry staying in 3rd gear, ride the bump then following the predicted line on the exit accelerating up to 4th staying in 4th for the left curve.

About that turn with the bump...
I found it is much better to stay right in the middle of the road as you break..
and then dive to the most right you can,, and let the 2 right wheels ride the gravel..
you escape the bump altogether.. and you don't loose any momentum.

what about the very closed off-camber.. 2nd or 3rd?

Into the 43's...sorry guys

I stay in 3rd. I hold a little throttle over the crest, let the car ease out to the curb then gradually apply full throttle. Up to 5th, changing down to 4th for the next right. On this right, turn in early. The camber makes the car drift out to the left anyway.

I only have the stock car available and can only manage a poor 2:06:810 lol
Welcome madman045.
Yeah that's a little issue with this comp. A lot of the cars aren't available early in the game. Keep plugging away with Career mode, you'll soon have all the cars available.

For week 2 I'll recommend we nominate a lower tier car so more people can get involved

Good too see you're having a go.

besides maintaining 2nd along the U-turn.. I do it exactly the same...
accel.. up to 5th,, brakes and 4th for the right and the uphill left,

then 3rd for next two righthanders, and 4th for the last left-right long uphill.

Do you redline 6th on the main straight?

Yep,same as me

No, I don't quite redline 6th. Probably in 6th for a about 5 secs on main straight. I'll post tuning setup for comparison.

drives like a dog this thing - just can't get it to turn in at all!!

Will have a go with some of the settings above - cheers Nikaz!

Thanks Nikaz - those are significantly different to the settings I was randomly trying, I'm hoping it will help me pick up a little time, but I don't think you are under any threat from me this week (as usual) :D
