Need for Speed Time Trial Championship ** Season 2 ** (Multiplatform)

It's Saturday afternoon with ~5 hours of Season 2 Week 1 to run.

At the time of posting the current standings dictate that;

01. inam22
02. lewdogga
03. danswan

get to submit nominations for Week 2.

You may submit you're nominations via email to:

or if you prefer, you may post your nominations between 5pm & 6pm in this very thread

Not trying to govern you're selection but if you could consider a lower Tier or Stock car so as to make this competition more accessible to Newcomers that would be greatly appreciated.

Nikaz just had a quick look and all the cars in tier 1 & 2 are with the nitrous upgrade.

Yeah I know. Also I'm not sure if someone with only Tier 2 available, can actually buy upgrades passed level 2 anyhow. e.g. So, fair enough the car's available but their stuck at level 2 upgrades while we're all FULL WORKS. Still an uneven playing field.

Pick what you want inam, you've earned the right after all.
 
Just tried to send you email on [email protected] but got Delivery Status Notification back so i am posting my nomine here.

My selection for this week car/track combo is Audi R8 4.2 FSI quattro at Ambush Canyon. I am not a big fan of this track though but the only reason i have picked this track is because we haven't raced here yet and you can get sold 4 laps in as well and car does provide you with plenty of grip for twisty parts of the track.Have a go with this combination and let me know what you think.

If you are not happy for any reason i don't mind if you go with any other nominees for car/track combo.

You remembered the 'hotmail' bit yeah?

Excellent Combo. Very varied track, speedy, twisty & undulates with a tunnel for good acoustics.

Just to verify. The car tunable yes?

What Driving Model are you using? If you're using Experienced try Normal. It's a bit more forgiving on throttle input & offers a bit more grip/stability even with the aids turned off.

I use Experienced & manual gears with those settings I posted & I'm constantly correcting the steering input to keep the car in check.

If you're using an xbox 360 pad, make sure when you move the thumb stick to turn you're actually getting Full left or Full right to obtain FULL LOCK, not UP/DOWN LEFT or UP/DOWN RIGHT if you know what I mean.

thanks for the reply, i'll give normal a go with the next track / car combo.

i'm using a G25 so maybe i haven't got the profile quite right for shift yet, if any other G25 users want to share there profile settings it would be good to see them so i can check them against mine;

degrees of rotation 270
all forcefeedback effects at 100%
centering spring not enabled

As for my selection, i also reckon Ambush Canyon, a good track we havent done yet. As for the car i think we should make it a stock car, so that it appeals to more people and narrows it down to driver skill alone. Such as mercedes benz SL65 AMG maybe?? Either way though im happy with any selection:)

The problem we had at the start of the first season was we cant prove if the car is standard . And although its mostly regulars who compete we cant account for non visual tuning so im afraid its all or nothing :(

Yeah thats true. I was thinking that choice because the stock cars have a unique vinyl, but then i've just realised that you can apply them to the normal cars:p
Yup looks like a tuned car then, or a loaner car perhaps, like the lambo?

Just a quick q about last weeks...

Which car were u guys using?

I bought the DB9 and added all upgrades (works not available) only got 1.55....was that the same car or were you driving the reward version??

I hope it was the better version as I was almost 10 secs off the pace...although to be fair I hate Astons.
