Initial trailer did nothing for me, mix of styles was interesting but need go see it in action and gameplay.

Still wish they would just remake NFS underground 2 and most wanted (original one not that crap one that was made years later)

Give them updated graphics and leave rest alone

Fingers crossed that Criterion Games have listened to the community on this?

Dunno, I'm not sure how many games they have done in need for speed franchise if my memory is correct they did the most wanted modern one and it was awful.

Ghost games did Heat and Need for speed I think if I remember right, I didn't mind need for speed despite the inability to pause it..

They are more known for the burnout franchise; I didn't mind Heat actually it wasn't a bad title however Ghost Games are now history I believe?

Unsure, maybe in the minority but burnout was great up until paradise.

Revenge and Takedown were it's peak and there peak for me

If only these were remade in today's engines! I won't judge it just yet until more detail drops and perhaps a demo but given its sudden announcement and short release window, i doubt a demo is planned.

Watched Lirik play this last night and it looked ok, nothing great and certainly not a full price purchase.

The one major thing he had that looks like it's how the games designed is your in 'lobby's / maps' of 16 people and when you get to a race location it will only ask the other 15 if they want to join providing they aren't already in a race. This meant he was struggling to get races started as he had no one in his lobby to play against instead of it scanning all active players online and pulling them in when queuing for a race.

Had a quick blast with my.game pass ultimate sub, same old same old NFS.

There is a modding team called Project Unite for NFS titles heat, payback etc. They polish the game with better visuals, allow for better customisation etc. They'll probably make do it for this too.

I can't stand what's become of NFS. Even Underground, while good, was hardly what the series started as. It was never about street racing,

Had they just kept with the spirit of the first five games, they would've probably ended up with a much better game, just like Hot Pursuit was better than practically anything that came after because it more or less stuck to what NFS stood for instead of all of this street cringe and terrible tacked-on stories. Granted it was basically Burnout with an NFS skin on but still better than the rest of them.

Not touching this with a bargepole until deep, deep discount, if even then. It looks the same as the last few entries, just with some dumb AF cartoony effects that look completely out of place during actual races.
