Need for Speed Unbound

How's project cars 2? I missed the deluxe version which was around £6.

On a side note, Grid 2 used to work on my deck then it just stopped launching.

That's a real shame - guess I'm waiting for Forza Motorsport for my next driving fix.

If you played that previous NFS game where you are the damaged loner with a small posse who beats the bad guy against all the odds (was the “the crew” maybe?) it looks like the same story but with cartoon graphics. Shame as these games often give a quick 1 hour fix without too much commitment.

I may be dumb since I just bought this for 34.99 and I hate anime graphics/effects

WOW EA app doesnt do preloads what the...

Stutter fest with the frame generation crap on weird, menu system is dog poop bad, especially the controls for the menu.... it's like claustrophobic console crap with the mouse disabled.
The menu controls aren't even intuitive for keyvboard... it's all weird keys like to exit the game you don't press esc during play... it's tab to get the exit option....

I played it for 5 mins felt frustrated and turned it off... press SHIFT for nitro constantly flashing on the screen.... I don't want to press the god damn nitro all the time....

one of the worst additions to racing games ever, handling of the cars feels really weird but that could have just been because of how bad all the camera options are.

I'll try it properly some other time when I have more patience but first impressions are very "meh console crap and poor port to pc"

The next forza motorsport can't come fast enough

I've played for maybe 5 hours since Wednesday. Other than the silly cartoony effects it plays pretty well. Its an NFS game so people shouldn't be expecting anything other than guff storyline, strange arcadey handling and good graphics.

Its no Most Wanted 2005 (On the Xbox 360) but I'll sink the required time into it to complete it for sure.

I played a bit more just driving around looking at the scenery, I still haven't even done the first part of the story just cruising around for an hour or two

The graphics are actually pretty sick in places

That could almost be a photo? you'd have to look twice if it had no UI and no anime people ?

why did they decide on the cartoon people!
IDK because other than the people they are the best graphics of any racing game so far?

The cars are still slightly anime but at the same time look really realistic.

The game actually seems pretty good once you get past the initial annoyance of the anime people, the online mode sucks though it's only with 16 people :S so if you try to do any races probably only 2-3 people will join them making it a pretty much waste of time.

on a 4090 all settings on ultra without dlss but using frame generation I only get 50% gpu usage at 144fps.

I tested dynamic super resolution set to 5160x2160 and it still ran great although I had a couple of stutters in places and the graphics don't really look any different than just playing it at 3440x1440 anyway

If i could refund it i would, i prefer heat a lot more than this. Game sometimes hard looks my PC and no other game but this produces the most insane coil whine i have ever heard.

Finally got it saving properly and now completed the prologue. The night time driving is such a massive nod to underground in this, now managed to see past the cell shaded posse and really quite enjoying the game.

Ultrawide 3440x1440 max settings on 3060ti no problem either

Oh, actually I take that back and I HATE EA with a passion even more now. Wife was working on main pc so I loaded up EA app on my lan box in office. Gave it time to update,Started NFS......Import my save? NOPE let's just flatten it and start from scratch.

HOW HARD IS IT EA.....C'MON!

Not actually sure if I can be bothered to play the prologue, Again!

Looks like my sort of game.
Before buying, Steam I can find for £60 but via " Origin " it is £38

Is it best to go with steam or Origin ?
I'm siding with Steam as I hear Origin is changing to EA Play soon and there could be transfer issues
