I Had an unopend copy for this In my house and decided to be a total
sheep and send it back for a refund.

I bought Midnight Club: LA as It's replacement and at first thought I'd
made a mistake as I didnt like It until I played via the cockpit view, omg !!!
Usualy I find this view harder but for this game Im a total pro lol.
The racing is so excilerating It's just simply amazing.

Im gonna punish EA and not buy their rubbish titles and just wait for demos If they ever appear and then decide.

Is it normal that the shadows and other lines are still horibbly jaggy at 1920x1200 even with 4xMSAA selected :confused:it looks horrible

Rented it today. There was no way after seeing the mixed reviews that I was going to drop £40 on an untested game, especially after ProStreet as well.

Just to give you an idea, this is how I rate the previous NFS games.

ProStreet 2/10
Most Wanted 5/10
Underground 7/10
Underground 2 8/10
Carbon 8/10

Now I was hoping that they wouldn't make it like MW at all, instead make it like Carbon with the choice and customisation from Underground 2.

I have to admit, i'm a bit disappointed.

The handling is bonkers, really strange. I think it would be a lot better without the incessant and what seems unnecessary frame rate drops as well. It doesn't even look THAT good either, what on earth is it doing to cause the pauses during racing?

The AI is also totally loopy as well. It's just so easy, streaming away from all the other cars and winning by 10 seconds plus. As well as that, the traffic seems to be pretty sparse but what traffic there is does a stellar job of driving right in front of you like they're mentally retarded.

I do enjoy the highway chases though, a really nice game mode. Again, it's fraught with dumb drivers, but it's quite exhilerating.

I hope EA patch the poor performance. If I do end up buying this game it's going to have to be for PC, hopefully my 4870 will chew the frames out and offset the pausing somewhat. Shame as I think a game like this suits a console perfectly.

From first impressions, it gets a 7/10 from me. It's certainly not terrible by any means but it's far from being a polished, finished product.
