The thing with those sound ratings is they vary from what speed your running it at and what distance away you are.

From all the reviews I have seen what they say in the spec doesn't seem to correlate between them.

tbh doubt you will notice much difference if any between the true spirit 120/140, CM hyper 612S and CM hyper 212 evo, which one is better seems to vary from review to review

Have a look at this. According to this review the 212 evo is louder when the CPU is at the same temperature. There is not much noise difference between the 2 as well at the same RPM.

412s is better though than the 212

The difference between the 412s and 612s is the size of the heatsink they both have the same fan. The 212s evo has a better fan which actually makes it better than the 412s and 612s in some of the reviews I have seen.
I think the advantage of the 212s evo is it has PWM so the fan speed can change.

612 > 212
TS140 > TS120

Reviews that have this the other way round are clearly wrong. The 612 is much bigger than the 212 and is in a totally different league performance wise and in terms of noise. Similarly the TS140 is larger and has 2 more heat pipes over the TS120.

OP, get the 612S. Look at the results in my sig and the review on that site. Although I don't have the results of the TS140 on there, I have tested it and they match the Archon's result for comparison.
