Need help absolute newbie

Need more info:

Which i7?

What PSU?

And is it new or second-hand?

RX 570 performs better in more games than the GTX 1650. CPU-wise, if it's an old i7 it would be more or less the same as Ryzen 2500X.

i7 3.40ghz

What’s a psu?

It’s new

Could I potentially sell the graphics card and upgrade it for slightly more money?

Would a RX 570 fit in that case?

I don’t currently have the core it was buying one I was talking about.

I’ll go have a look at the case and power supply

And if I were to sell the graphics card would there be more point in swapping out the Nvidia GTX 1650 4GB GPU for a Nvidia GT710 2GB GPU That knocks down the overall price to £388

i7 3.40ghz

Need the full name like i7-3770, i7-2600 etc.

What’s a psu?

Power supply. Brand and model.

There's not all that much between the RX 570 and GTX 1650 to warrant selling the latter and buying the former. In that situation, I'd keep the GTX 1650 until it was time for a proper more noticeable GPU upgrade.

The Aerocool Shard fits up to 355mm long graphics cards so wouldn't be a problem when upgrading.

So it's new, but for that money there's gotta be a catch somewhere, which is why need more info. Sorry for checking but are you sure the price isn't going up once you add all those components to the spec?

The i7 is 2600 when I add all of it up it still says £388 the catch could potentially be that there is no PSU but there not overly expensive so if the worst comes to worst and it’s got too little watts or is not included at all then I can buy another one.

Full specs

AeroCool Cyber-X Advance with Red LED + 2x RED LED Fans on the front and a 120mm black fan for optimal cooling and silent operation.

CPU:
Intel Core i7-2600 4x 3.40GHz Base // 3.80GHz Turbo
Intel Core i5-2400 4x 3.10GHz Base // 3.40GHz Turbo

Motherboard:
We use high-quality and reliable motherboards from Intel, equipped with 1x DVi + VGA for dual monitor configuration WITHOUT a graphics card. 6x USB 2.0 + Fron Panel USB and SD Card Reader connected to the Motherboard.

Memory:
8GB: Recommended minimum for Gaming and larger mixed, workloads. Enough for running most AAA games and for most productivity workloads.
16GB: Highly recommended if you like to keep 20+ browser windows open and working with memory hungry productivity related applications, such as Photoshop which can easily use 8GB of system memory even with light-medium workloads.

Graphics Cards Options:*
On-Board Graphics: Ideal for very basic gaming but for gaming we always recommend a dedicated graphics card. Dual screen capable, perfect for Office, browsing and other general tasks.
nVidia GT710 2GB GPU: Entry level GPU for basic gaming on low and medium quality settings, we recommend 1360x768 or 1600x900 resolution maximum.
nVidia GTX1650 4GB GDDR5 Memory: Strong midrange card for 900p or 1080p gaming. Depending on games, it is capable to deliver 60fps on medium to highest depending on the title and resolution.
*Please make sure you choose the right option for you. If you are unsure about your requirements, please feel free to contact us, we are here to help.

Storage options:
SSD: a small SSD goes a long way with everyday tasks. Even a 120GB SSD for the system drive will significantly speed up the system speed and reduces loading times. We recommend a 240GB SSD in order fo you to load your programs and games on it on the long run.
HDD: Everyone needs storage, a 1TB drive can store an estimated of: 16,660 hours of digital music / 320,000 digital photos / 1,000 hours of digital video / 250 DVD-quality movies.

Okay I found it on the web. Catch is that it's not all new. They are refurbished parts with a new SSD and GPU. And the build only has a three month warranty, and who knows about even that, and postage to send it back and so on, given the source. Bit risky, imo.

You mention buying a new PSU if needed. If you'd do that then might as well build the PC yourself, because replacing the PSU is basically re-building a PC, give or take a couple more jobs.

You'd also be buying into old tech. If anything goes bust and you need to replace a component, you're buying even more into old tech (older DDR3 memory and motherboard).

Pretty much guarantee that the Windows included is a cheap key. Genuine most likely as the guy will probably know where to buy, but not retail.

Not bad specs, old (some of it), risky, for someone who wants a system built for them. And a bit expensive for only 3 month warranty. 2500X is a bit faster than the i7-2600 and RX 570 bit faster than GTX 1650, so it won't give you more performance.

The USB Wifi dongle will be cheap, and the power supply is not mentioned at all. That will be cheap and maybe a refurb too.

There is no way i would be spending several hundred notes on a cpu and board that was what??? how many years ago did the 2600 come out? late 2011....
Not a flipping chance.

This is what i would get, all in a very rounded system that can be upgraded down the line with a better gpu if you find you want it- the built in APU is more than adequate for moderate gaming.
Of course that doesnt come with a monitor. But you are getting 16gig of ram, and a decent half TB of SSD plus a legit copy of windows.
