Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a monitor stand/mount for my 2 screen setup, I would like my monitors to remain horizontal with one monitor above the other.

Can you recommend a reasonably priced stand/mount that can achieve this as this is a new area for me exploration for me!

Thanks and regards!

(sorry if this is the wrong section, monitors seemed to be the most appropriate!)

Depending how deep your desk is, you can get fairly simple monitor mounts that bolt to the back lip of your desk.

Good news they are pretty cheep. bad news, I don't recall seeing one that mounted one monitor above the other but I'm sure they exist, side by side is just much more common. Personally I wouldn't want the neck strain :D

Can't advise you on a model but a google image search or looking over a well known auction site is the best way to find them.

I mention depth as if you have a really deep desk, like me, it would place the monitors uncomfortably far back. Keep this in mind if this would be an issue for you.

Search for "vertical monitor mount" specifically. The size and weight of your monitors is an important factor, as is the mounting system on the back. Do you know if you have VESA mounts? Have a google if you're unsure what that is.

I'll be paying around £200 for the triple screen mount I have my heart set on.. they can indeed get expensive.

EDIT: Have seen a few with a quick search, up to 27" ($50USD ish) If you let me know your monitor size I'll have a look for a UK supplier and let you know exactly what to each for. You could also get a single wall mount to place one above the other, they seem to be around £30 and they stock them here.

Well damn, I hadn't thought of that.....just check and one of the monitors doesn't have a vesa mount whilst the other does =/ a single monitor mount would also work as it's the Vesa Monitor I want above my main monitor!

I would recommend duronic. I have one stand for my top monitor only but it is awesome! So this would work for you as only one monitor has vesa.

They sell all different ones for surround/stacked etc

I got the longer pole also, will try find a pic

Consider the Wall mounted option then man, seems that you don't so much want to get rid of the existing monitor stand and just want one above the other, this is perfect for you so long as you don't mind drilling a few holes in your wall.

Pro tip, make sure you fasten the monitor arm to the wall correctly, there are different methods for different surfaces. Brick/drywall for instance.

Sadly I can't mount to the wall :P aha but C35799Gamble your suggestion interests me! any specific model of mount you recommend?

[also that's a rather sexy setup you have....]
