Need Help Making Gaming Computer Budget 2-3k

Unless I missed it, how come you went for 8GB RAM & only 1 (internal) Hard Disk? Could have got another & RAIDed or even a (dare I say it) Raptor & the RAM is overkill :(

Rest is good. Would be nice if you can post-up some build pics ;)
 
Okay guys, it's been afare few hours and i have finally finished the computer :P o yes and im posting off it right now :D i will post some pictures of the inside and out when i get my desk here tomorro atm its on the floor in my bedroom lol XD

While I agree that if someone has a budget and genuinely wants to spend it all, then there's nothing wrong in speccing systems for that price, I think it is also worth people pointing out the diminishing returns you get when you start spending a lot (say over £1.5k).

When I built my system a couple of months ago I had the cash to buy QX6850, 8800ultra-SLI, 8gig fast RAM, RAID0 raptors, 30" screen and all the rest of it. But that didn't mean to say that it was necessarily a good use of money, so in the end I went for a more modest E4300, P5N-E, 2gig PC5400C4 with the rest existing components.

Nice, You build a system like that to find out your gunna get it taken off you few months down line. ;)

If your doing illigal activity keep it to yaself m8, You would be devistated if you had that whole pc took off you and banned for years n years from owning a pc.

Nice spec but TBH you probably could have spent 400/600 less and still had the performence there you needed and would not see a decrease.

I would have rather poo'ed on it and made a video to show everyone what you just wasted. But good luck. Can't wait till you get the pics up!

Had some really annoying problems with the side of my case but its all sorted :)

Went on wow, eve and a few other games maxed all specs out and doesnt lag in the slightest lol loving it :P. I was supprised how smoothly it was running my games i've never seen something run so smooth.
