Hey guys.
I need help setting up my 3 hard drives.

I have One M4 Crucial 128GB SSD and two Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB.

I've had my system for a while and this has been bothering me.
I have all main programs and OS on the SSD and everything else on the HDDs but when I do tasks like empty recycle bin I can hear one of my HDD start to spin up (thats the only way i can describe it)

I am Curious, Does it should like My Hard drives are set up right ?

I simply plugged them in and that was it. I've looked up setting master and slave but I always find videos and forum posts about a little spacer on the pins which I do not have.

I'm still learning, any info would be great, thanks

Change how long it takes for your drives to power down in windows power settings. Although I think some drives spin down on their own regaurdless.

That's under Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options correct ?

same here its normal for hdd to power down when not used to save power, soon as you access something on it it takes a few seconds followed by a whine n a click sound,as it spins into action

you can make some changes in power settings via Power Options......Change Plan Settings........Change Advanced Power Settings :)

Found it, Thanks ^^

Set it to 60 minutes. See how that goes
