Need help sorting screwed MBR

My problem is described best in this thread.

I have since deleted partition C:, re-partitioned it and tried installing XP but this new drive shows as RAW not NTFS and I can't install on it therefore. Attempting to reinstall Windows 7 on partitions C: and D: yields similar results and I just don't know where to go from here Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you boot to the Win 7 install disc you have the option to format the selected drive/partition via the advanced option tag. Format the required partition(s) to NTFS and away ya go!!!!
