15.5X257
CPU 3983MHz-1.471V
RAM 1713MHz-1.55V
CPU/NB-2570MHz
NB Volts-1.275

I'm no expert with over clocking but I would drop your ram back down to default speed (1600mhz).
Your CPU mite not be up to running at 4ghz so I would drop that down to 3.6ghz and if that stable after few hours of SC 2 up it to 3.7ghz and repeat.

EDIT:
What cooler are you using? And what temps are you getting at the mo?.

hi thanks for fast reply :)

i have tried a lot of settings and you're right my cpu doesn't like 4GHz or more (which is annoying as i see a lot of 4.2 on youtube but oh well)

and my RAM doesn't like more than 1760MHz, maybe its till not low enough? the ram speed only moves in around 400MHz increments, therefor i may havto resort to lowering the FSB(?) which will lower CPU too

i use coretemp and it says my custom watercooling loop keeps it under 52*C @ 100% load, after it has been warmed by gaming or stress testing it idles to about 34*C

As i said in a previous post i would leave the fsb at 200,just use the multi, leave the ram at 1600,also keep the ht at about 2mhz,and the nb about 2.4,when ever i have an o/c session and start messing with fsb i always get bsod problems,i always revert back to multi o/cing

nice to know its not just me

i am hoping to get something more out of my ram as well as cpu but if i havto resort to using just the multi i will, thanks

also try removing 4gb of ram. 8gig is harder to OC then 4.. its something to do with the ram controller, blah blah!

C3 is a good chip!

sorry i wrote that wrong, i have 2X2GB so removing 4GB would be baaaaad :P i have upped the CPU/NB one step as you suggested though so i will starcraft 2 test it soon

your 955 is at 4.2, nearly 4.3! :( lucky you though, congrats!

you should put ya ram back to 1600mhz first
set 200fsb x 20multi = 4000mhz @ 1.47v = easy!

i have CnQ enabled so its 935mhz at the mo... i only run it hard/fast when im gaming

what is CnQ? a BIOS option i guess?

i am 99% sure that was one of the many settings i tried and it wouldn't have it

either that or i decided to be very tight and get the max out of my ram

Cool and quiet is a feature that AMD allows their cpu's to be under clocked. So that it kind extends the life of a cpu's when overclocking.... something like that anyway. Might help the power bill a bit too. No point running ya cpu at 4gig when you're just surfing the net.

.
But, some people will tell you to leave it turned off as it hinders OC'ing.

oh yeah i heard that.

well not only did i complete 5 hrs and 10mins of prime 95 blend test successfully but i haven't had a blue screen of death since upping the CPU/NB frequency 1 step so thanks very much for your help :)

ok well its been 5 days without a BSOD but just had one now while watching a replay in game :( any suggestions regarding OC? voltages look ok?
