Hi there, I need some help with what i should get. Basicly i what i need is:
1) 100% stability and 0% system lag
2) Very fast access times (so raptor hdds in raid?)
3) Ability to connect atleast 4 monitors
4) 1 storage HDD
5) able to work with windows xp or 2k
6) low noise (just forgot this)

Also i would prefere a motherboard with dual lan ports.

The computer is to be use for day trading - e.g. forex (currency exchange)
I need the graphics cards to be able to draw 2d images extremely fast e.g. graphs.

I have a maximum of £1800 to spend. Can anyone suggest anything?

Those gfx are too powerful, a 7300 will suffice, with the money you save there get a c2d instead.

Bear in mind that with raid on your hdds theres double the chance of your data going pop
 
Also what about the ram on my list, does that seem suitable? Im not too sure how ram matchs to cpu/mobo these days.

My knowledge of Intel boards is limited, but it will definatley work, i assune everything will stay at stock so that freq should be fine

Depends on the RAID configuration you are running. RAID 0, absolutely, but RAID 1, with mirroring, is much more secure since both HDs need to fail before you suffer data loss. I would say, having two Raptors in RAID 0 myself, they are very fast but relatively noisy, given you're not going to have a FPS blaring away. I'd have a look at the reviews of the Samsung Spinpoint, since these seem to be the quietest HDs around. Alteratively, look for some sound damping enclosures for the HDs
 
would you say then, it is too risky to put the hdd's in raid 0? I dont really know much about how realiable raptors are, so i would be guessing if i made a decision.
