need help with virus/trojan/hardware problem

i think a re install of windows is best option, however i just bought a new harddrive, if i put all the data i need on this drive, then dissconnect it, re install windows then reconnect it will this work? the new hard drive only has music, video and pictures on it, s oi cant see them having amy virus's

Maybe also try prevx.

I've had to get round some mean viruses at work and this normally stops them.

Think you get a free 1 month trial.

It slows the PC down massively while it scans but if you can leave it for an hour or so it will hopefully find and destroy the little blighter!

Once you've got the virus just uninstall prevx.

firstly download a freebie registry cleaner :) run that and clean it all up then try

Yip deff try running a good registry cleaner.
Also try a different keybaord / mouse,, as it is possible they keyboard could be faulty. if u have a spare one try it.

And If you have system restore enabled ,, disable it :D and dont re inable it untill you are 100% clean

Believe me, I can see them harbouring all sorts. Best not connect the original drive again until you have your PC locked down drum tight.

well thanks for the info lads, i gave up trying to sort it and just reinstalled windows, but guess what, its bloody still there, i thought after a windows install it would wipe everything from my hd, but its kept a lot of stuff, matlab7, vhdl, loads of other stuff, how can i get my hard drive totaly wiped and start alll over again? ill try this smitfraud in the mean time to see if it works

smitfraud hasnt worked :( oh well, need to wipe the hd, just not sure how to totaly wipe the full hard drive so its just a partion again

when installing vista when you select the drive click on advanced and the select *** drive and format :)

also delete any partions you have there.

lol your tempting me to get vista now, if i were to get vista i would get ultimate 64bit however im not sure if my gigabyte 965p ds4 has 64bit, i think it does tho so should be ok

just downloaded this program called diskdeleterpro, should erase my harddrive completly, hopefully this will fix the bug, if it dosnt i think i need a new keyboard
