ok looking at changing my card(his hd 4850) to either card below for two reasons maya 2009 and zbrush 3.1
and playing my games like cyrisis ect,
maya works like a charm from what i have been told and read do to the cuda and open gl. so whats the differance between these two cards and what one would be better getting.

OcUK Value GeForce GTX 275 896MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

XFX GeForce GTX 275 896MB GDDR3 Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

now for my second question

its a hard one i would like to have two monitors but space it limited to two 19" as the one i got now is 22" polaroid and leaves very little room each side or should i buy a better single tv (polaroid tv 22" hd ready lcd tv max resoulution 1680x1050(running at 1280x1024) would be nice to have better monitors but then there's my ps3 which i run through the hdmi ,any ideas would be great or i could spend it on another tv/upgrade on pc ect,but then comes the problem. budget

budget is £400 incl postage
minus the GTX 275 £175.00

leaves a grand total of £225 to spend and thats got to include postage:rolleyes:

windows 7 rc1 64bit
asus p5q pro
500w psu
Q6600 quadcore overclocked to 3.4ghz
Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro CPU Cooler
4gb corsair dominator
his-radion hd-4850-512mb
500gb westen
antec case
4 fans-silent running
polaroid tv 22" hd ready lcd tv

let the ideas flow in lol:p

gotta be the xfx card as 95thrifles suggested because of the warranty, and this monitor, freeview built in along with every input under the sun, HDMI, component, DVI, VGA etc. I have the 24" model and i'm very happy with mine.

likeing the monitor samsung you cant go wrong with as i have a 32" in my living room.might just go for one monitor as i would only use the other for instruction vids and referance pics,i can flip between the two or shrink maya down a tad,so that would save on budget for something else.

whats the differnce in performance between the 260 and 275 then?

also the two montiors mentioned asus has hdmi as well as the samsung? if i would get the asus one would it still be a good choice.

on no its great but wondered whats the pro's and con's of the assus to the samsung was,if the assus can do the same job then i could save a few quid and put it to something else if not i go with the samsung

Yeah by all accounts people seem to be pleased with the Asus, I just thought you needed a tv built in for some reason. Bear in mind though that the Asus has a bigger resolution at 1920x1080 so will push your video card harder if you want to play games at it's native res. So perhaps your initial idea of getting a 275 paired up with that monitor would be the way to go.

whats the views on the 285 apart from the extra £54 would it a better choice and for future proof as not looking at getting a upgrade for a while just gone on sale for £229

if i was to up the anti to this card would i see any difference apart from the £54 extra and if it worth it how future proof is it as not looking to replace for a while allso will this fit into a Antec Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case asus p5q pro and my power supply is a Corsair HX 620W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-620HXUK)
if not i stick with the 275
