Need more space!

Right, ive had my computer for about 5 days now. I bought with it a 80gb hard drive to just get me going and hopfully thinking it will last until xmas.

Unfortunatley i have used up 70gb of it! This is just through me downloading games + game demo's. There is no music on it yet!

Basically i just want to know would a 500gb hard drive be better than 2x250gb? The reason i say this i want a different hard drive for Photoshop work and another for downloads. I was thinking of partitioning a 500gb but not sure?

Also, if i was to get a bigger hard disk would i partition my current 80gb hard drive to about 70/10 and use the 10gb for windows?

well what i think i'm going to do soon is buy an 80gig hdd and a 400/500gig hdd, keep the small one just for my oc and programmes and then all my music, documents etc on the 400/500gig then if my os ever fails or gets slow i could just wipe the small drive an not worry about losing my stuff.

what does everyone else think of that idea?

Best way! I use my raptor as a system disk, and store everything else on a 320Gb (Which gets backed up to my file server when i feel like it).

If you’re going to partition a 500GB drive then you may as well buy 2x250GB, that way you only loose half the amount of data if one dies. Thats why I have 2x200GB and 2x500GB rather than buying terrorbyte drives.
