need new ISP since AOL changed

BT has been winding me up for a few days now! Im looking to change so whats the best around at the moment for a good balance between download speeds and latencies? The latter probably being the more important.

UNFSN sounds pretty good, is it??

You automatically get to keep the ****@aol.com address for their AIM and email services, you just wont have access to their broadband package, You need this MAC key to migrate to a new isp so that you have no interuption in your service. If you didnt get it and you canceled and then joined up with another your dls would be down aproximatly 15+ days.

Entanet (who they sell from) has some issues like every ISP, but in general, they've been really good so far, and much better than Pipex who I switched from.

Really?

So if i quit my AOL (been with them for 7 or 8 years now) i would still have my AOL email that i could use with the online email thingy?

Yes I currently now an with UKFNS and loving it to be honest and i still have all my ****@aol.com addresses as well that you can use with AIM or log onto through their aol.co.uk site.

I'm with Freedom 2 Surf on an uncapped 8mb line, although i think they've stopped offering the uncapped package now.

Not sure if they can't change mine until the contracts up *shrugs*

well if they have changed the Terms and Conditions from what you signed up with then yes you can change, just say you dont agree with the terms and its not what you signed up for.

I've recently left F2S as they are now traffic shaping, and have been since being bought out by Pipex.

Can't say i've noticed, i pull 650kb/s consistently off the Newsgroups. That's about the max i can get off my line anyway :)
