So I've got a rubber bung with a hole down the middle stuck in the middle of a length of tube and I only have access from one end to pull it out.

Anyone got any ideas on what I could use? It's well stuck in.

what about one of those plasterboard fixings that expands behind?

That's a good shout, not sure if I'll be able to get one long enough though as the bung could be quite thick. How thick I'm not sure.

Air pressure? i.e. a bike/football pump or a plunger or something pulled over the hole?

(assuming you can block the other end or its already air tight)

Wire coat hanger?
Drill it out?
Glue something to the bung and hope its got enough grip to pull it out with it?

You say that the bung has a hole in the middle. Get a piece of wood or metal ~15mm long, secure some string to the middle such that the string stays there. push that through the hole in the bung, and pull.

I'd say use a piece of dowel that's about the same diameter as the hole in the bung. Coat about the last inch or two in a very strong adhesive glue and push it into the bung hole.

Leave it to set and then tug away on the dowel. :p

Something with an umbrella effect? cocktail umbrella with a bit of lube so it can push through but opens up - gaffa tape one to a longer thinner stick?
