Need something to remove an object stuck in a tube

1) Get a bolt or nail that will fit through the whole (cut the head off if necessary).
2) Attach some strong wire/chord to the bolt/nail about 2cm from one end. Tie it on and glue it
3) Lower the bolt/nail down the tube (assuming vertically, else push with another stick)
4) Wiggle it about a bit to get it to go through the whole in the bung
5) Pull the wire/chord. Hopefully the bolt/nail won't come straight back through the whole and will lie across the far side of the bung
6) Pull harder!

Is it an M6 thread, is it threaded?
If it's threaded go buy a bolt, if it's not threaded go buy a through bolt...you can insert the end into the bung-hole , get a spacer and tighten the nut against the spacer which will force the end of the bolt to expand...then pull.

Gave up with anything delicate in the end, took a rubber mallet and a socket extender and bashed it down the bottom of the tube just to get it out of the way.
Problem solved.
