hi all

My 9 year old Casio Argos watch has broken
The strap has gone - already replaced once

and now the battery is dying

I think it is time to UPGRADE my watch
I need something that I can brag about on a Friday night
not a £6.99 model

Still need something sporty, comfortable and this time fashionable.
Budget? Willing to go up to £50 but will only spend more if I really need to.

any suggestions?

Predicted direction of this topic:

- People start recommending cheap watches under £50
- People start recommending watches slightly over £50 [+ comments such as "if you can stretch to it"]
- People start talking about any watches at all, going into thousands of pounds

For £50 just buy a watch that you like the look of and that does what you want of it. At that level I can't imagine there will be much difference in quality of materials used.

yer true that

thing is I would like something that is comfortable

all of the decent watches are all metal the straps that is
so they feel a little uncomfortable

The best watch ever has to be the Casio remote control watch.

nothig better than sitting in school watching an educational History video when suddenly Chuckle Brothers turns on one of the other channels or the TV keeps turning off "oh dear the TV is broken, looks like we can't watch this today oh no *sigh"

If you like this one, go for it.. (link won't work? -. -)

However you might find this one a bit more tasteful.
Sorry its only on 1 site, but I like this watch, just happened to come across the first one.

if you like your casio digitals why not get a g shock - while some are out of budget have a look on the bay and you can find some pretty good ones around £50 (check feedback carefully because even g shocks are now being faked)
