Need to replace my Casio £6.99 watch

watch3.jpg

Is it sad I actually do like the face of it with the numbers.. If it was a plain blue strap I would actually consider wearing it... I think it looks funky, but the strap is a tad bit far..

I quite like that Back Nixon watch, the rest look a bit too odd for everyday wearing.. Maybe the white one for a change?

yer I agree
it does look a little bit childish
think it is those numbers on the strap

but the plain white other one looks a good buy
out of stock at the moment but looks decent

Predicted direction of this topic:

- People start recommending cheap watches under £50
- People start recommending watches slightly over £50 [+ comments such as "if you can stretch to it"]
- People start talking about any watches at all, going into thousands of pounds

So, basically any direction then? ;)

I pick option 2. A Casio GW-M5600-1E/BC

http://www.tiktox.com/gwm56001ebc-p-2290.php

Solar powered, atomic time sync, world time, 2x time zones, 5x alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer, and WR to 200m. What else do you need?

Btw I have owned 3x Breitling, 4x Omega and 2x Rolex in the past, and I ended up selling them all as they were really just for show. The GW-M5600 does everything I need.

For £67.50 you can get this watch, thinking of getting it myself actually..

Not sure if you like analog and digital clock in one though!

Edit: Dooh! Maybe should have read the description better.. its been discontinued.. :(

I managed to get me hold of one of these http://www.superchrono.com/images/medium/ar0115_MED.jpg for £60 on ebay, mint condition with all the packaging. Only visible damage is there's a bit of wear on the underside, which is underneath it so not really important. I love it :) Although it's not exactly like the one in the picture, it doesn't have a date on, the hands are different and the watch is wider. Looks mucho better :)

lol decisions decisions
That casio gshock one looks good but
I still quite like that blue swatch one :)

It looks pretty damn funky but does anyone know if it has a light?!

Not sure why Swatch watches are rated so highly here they look plain and dull.. even with the funky looking colour designs the thin type they make are no way worth £35!

Citizen Eco-drive.

I got an £80 chronograph model 3 years ago, and have worn it every day since.

It gives you pub bragging rights because it's solar powered.

There are several well established guys at my work place who probably earn beyond 45k and they still wear that £5 casio, they swear by it, never looses a second.

Should be waterproof, analogue, have date on it. Preferably bought for you by a loved one, thus avoiding the issue of selection. Unsure why the question is a difficult one
