as for the lol who says tell them hes got a gun are you actually real ?

I haven't once complained about the fact that he wakes me up every morning between 3-4AM getting ready for work, banging pans about in his kitchen etc. I haven't complained either about the fact that every time I leave my flat the stink of weed coming out of his flat is overpowering, or about the fact that every time he blazes up he stinks out my flat through the shared ventilation system.

Well perhaps you should.

I had the neighbors complaining at me over noise. Keep in mind, It's rare and hardly loud. Anyways, I pointed out the fact I have to put up with the fact they scream at each other constantly and when the football is on, they're like a bunch of zoo animals. Also I have to put up with their son kicking the ball off the wall at 7.30am inorder to give their dog some "exercise"

When I pointed out how much i could hear coming from them, in comparison to the noise I make. They stopped complaining. They havent stopped being noisey neighbours, but atleast they realise now what I'm putting up with.

I've got a druggy neighbour next door who moved like 4 mates into hiss flat to pay the rent when he lost his job.

He stinks the place out and comes home at like 2am every night, it's just annoying.but recently his mates have been making loads of noise at like 5 am on a week night. Very annoying!

Have to feel sorry for the guy who has to live next door to ****head students who think the world revolves around them and they can make all the noise they want.

Err, I'm not a student, I work 55 hour weeks so it's not like I'm even around much between weekends.

OP has probably got it 180 degrees out, ie a bouncer now what sort of time would he get home... 3-4am, hes munching before he gets some kip imo

Nope, during our first 'altercation' the guy was going on about how he was a bouncer, leaves for work at 4am and then went on about some stories about how he beats the **** out of drunks. Like I said in OP, thinly veiled threats.

tell the police you suspect hes growing cannabis

And when they come and ask you why you think this and all you can say is "I smell weed coming from his house at times" they will tell you to stop being an idiot and think about what you are saying. Either that or you have to lie to the police which could get you in trouble.

If the guy was growing then he would either have a permanent smell of weed about the house or none at all depending on how thick he is.

Talk to the guy and explain that everything he does annoys the hell out of you too and part of living near people is either ignoring their habits or agreeing to come to a mutually agreeable solution.

If he smokes weed and makes noise at 4 in the morning then I doubt he will want to take this any further.

I can't understand why people don't stand up for themselves in these matters. The guys a bouncer so he knows that should he assault you then he will be in a hell of a lot of trouble so I don't see the issue.

I'd politely mention to him that he's disturbing you at ungodly hours so should be a bit more considerate himself.
If he gets in a threatening manner after that, remind him that what he smokes is an illegal substance and that you're sure the landlord and police would love to know about it.

He'll back down very quickly.

I think before you start making threats to his face regarding the Police or his smoking habits you should be quite sure that you can deal with the consequences should he not simply 'back down' as people seem to think......

Explain your concerns to him when he is in a mood to listen and if that doesn't work contact first your Landlord and then the Council or Police depending on the complaint.....do not get into a confrontation with the man if you cannot or are unable to deal with a potential assault.....

I have psycho neighbours too, the advice we've had from the police is document everything. Otherwise calling them doesn't do much good.

As for noise complaints the local council has more authority than the local police, keep that in mind if he keeps waking you up.
