I know what your'e going through with the blood thinners. I am on them for life as well due to congenital heart disease. I assume you are on heparin injections to your stomach followed by warfarin therapy.
Don't worry about warfarin. It's really not a big deal. You just have to go for regular blood tests and watch what you eat and drink (alcohol)? If you have some spare cash, you can also buy your own INR meter called a coag-u-chek, so youcan test your blood yourself and avoid regular clinic trips.
