The little one would like a nerf gun for his birthday (aged 7). But i have no idea about them - any recommendations?

The maverick is great we use them in store all the time (I work at smyths toys) I would stay clear from the battery operated ones as we get them back as faulty quite a bit.

I have to say, my parents wouldn't allow me to have 'toy guns', as with a few of my friends. I'm better off for it.

I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that there are ways of having fun without using something specifically designed for killing people

I have the Longshot CS-6, taken out the air restrictors and modified the spring. Disgusting range and really powerful!

My son has a few nerf guns including the belt fed tripod mounted gun. Fair old rattles through the nerf darts.

Not sure if serious.
If you have children/ will have children, would you cover your kids eyes if you walked past an armed guard?
Joking aside, are you actually serious that you would not let your child have a nerf gun? Do you have any evidence to support your claims that it "made you better off"?
