hi guys

i am looking for a laptop that have a built-in HSPDA modem so i can use sim card in

which laptop you'd recommend?

cheers

Only one I've seen is the NC10: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-058-SA&groupid=959&catid=1400&subcat=

Be wary though, OC stock count on this is unconfirmed, best to call them to check or look around.

see here for a thread on them: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17924160

apparently some acer's have the port but according to some guy in PC World they don't actually work so they've stopped advertising it being there. Some hardware issue apparently. Not sure of any others

Can't see anything to do with HSPDA Modem or SIM slot..

The only one I've seen was an Advent Netbook (don't know the model, but its a Purple Shirt Exclusive!) it didn't get too bad reviews when I was looking!... but I opted for a Monster Laptop instead of a Netbook!...

er.. check the title? :Samsung NC10 Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz 10.2" HSDPA Netbook - XP Home - Black (NP-NC10-HAZ1UK) . Most people on the forum have the non-hspda version but the odd few have the sim version

if you google the item name you'll see it's the UK sim version, and trust me I bought one and I've used a sim in it to connect online.

There's some high end sony's that do it too but, what sort of budget are you going for? And do you already have a data package? A lot of these have the sim slot hidden behind the battery, and it's not that easy to remove, you might find it easier (and somewhat cheaper) to buy a non-hspda and get a usb sim adaptor? Depends on what you're looking for

Ooops.. soz dood... didn't see any HDSPA when I looked before... do now though! D'oh!

my Lenovo X200 has built in HSDPA... because i'm using it right now. it can also send text messages ;)

you can bet your buns that an X200 will be better built than a low-rent netbook.
