Samsung said the NC10 will come with a three-cell battery that's good for up to 3.5 hours' runtime. But an optional six-cell power pack will take that figure to eight hours, it claimed.

Thats worth £30 of my money any day. Especially with some of the horrific prices being mentioned on what the 6 Cell batteries are going to cost for the wind and aspire one.

any tech whizzes out there: take a look at this

it says there's one DDR2 SODIMM slot... is there anything stopiing me from sticking a 2gb stick in there or is 1GB the max?

really considering this over the asus 1000h, but wil it take 2gb? is it overclockable like the asus?
is the price gonna go up again or will it stay like this now???

Could be referring to the 1GB max that Microsoft allow when supplying XP to netbooks.....would imagine the chipset itself will support more

I had the Asus Eee PC 900, which I enjoyed, took it on holiday to Canada a few weeks ago and it proved itself a few times while I was there.

Only problems were the poor battery life and small screen which let it down, so I sold it when I got back.

Was going to go for the Asus Eee PC 1000 to replace it, but having seen the Samsung NC10, I think this is the one I will be going for now.

Going to get a blue one with the RAM upgrade.

On a site, which I am not entirely sure is a competitor or not, it says it will be available on the 1st November and I think they are accepting pre-orders at £300.
