Watched a few minutes of the 1st episode... realised the ship was imprisoning a cockney chav super villain, I tuned it off pronto.

Stuck with it until the end. Not sure I'll bother with S2 if there is one. Feels like a mashup of Event Horizon / Contact / 2001 gone wrong.

Regarding your first point, I thought the exact same thing - until later on. I binged the series out of boredom.

I think it's a solid series. I saw the initial views being mixed from the first post and I couldn't understand why. Effects are good and the actors are half decent. I'm on ep5 and I don't hate it.

Made it halfway through the first episode, then got bored. It's hard to get invested in characters we know are going to die because of that flash-forward at the start.
