Netflix vs Amazon Prime

Trouble is with nowtv is the streaming quality isnt great. It would be really good if it was in HD.

The on demand stuff is HD (720p) and the live streams are HD on Apple TV - looks comparable to Sky just a bit softer.

Now tv is much better than it used to be.

I don't rate prime really for TV shows and films, they do not update it any where near as often as Netflix do, main reason I have prime is for free next day delivery, including weekends

I'm finding the amazon video quality is inconsistent compared to Netflix. Does not matter what device I'm using. It wasn't always like this though. Seems as though it only started doing it in the new year. I've compared the same films that are on both amazon and Netflix, and Netflix is better every time.

I have had Prime since it started pretty much and find the rate that they put out new things pretty poor. I regularly check amzprime.maft.uk as they seem to keep up to date with what's on there. I noticed that last week in one day they added 228 films and TV, having read through the list I think that there was one, maybe two that I was interested in. I have now seen everything that I want to and only check on new additions. They also did a cull this week with 333 removals yesterday and another 48 today, may be they are getting ready for something...

Anyway I started a trail of NowTV at the weekend and am enjoying a lot of the films on there.

I suppose that NowTV seems better as it is a new mix of films but it depends on the refresh rate as to whether it is any good long term.

I've had both amazon prime and now netflix,i haven't paid for either (friends 2nd user account) but i do like netflix, seems a lot up to date and loads quicker (got 50meg).

If i was to pay for one of these services i would choose netflix but i can see prime being good for some people as well.
