Never ending cars being hit….

Looks like it's all being sorted now. Headache (just about) over! :)

Did she come clean?

If she doesn't, it might be worth an empty threat about reporting her to the police. Some yadda yadda about CCTV footage etc.

If she wanted to completely get away with it, she'd have not bothered leaving a note, or even just writing something like "lol I hit your car" to appease nearby witnesses.

Her insurance sent a PDF letter saying they accept all responsibility, fair play

I'll have to check at the Sport centre next week to see if she's there again. Would be funny if it's a parent from my Daughter's swimming lesson

Repair guy came out for a look at the car yesterday. Turns out the wing took a hit too.

He’s going to strip the area back to the metal and weld on some bits, then pull the dents out.

Finally got the 640 fixed. Was with the body shop for 2 weeks. It had a whole new drivers door in the end, seems crazy for such a small amount of damage.

There was a week delay as the drivers door lock didn’t work on rebuild, so they had to order new bits from Germany.

Anyone wanna take a guess at how long til I get crashed into again?

Yesterday I drove past two completely smashed concrete bollards on the pavement. Whoever did that must have seriously wrecked their vehicle.

Same goes for seeing metal railings by traffic lights and junctions completely mangled. Plus the chevrons on roundabouts.

I had an accident on the 14th Dec and I've still not even got an appointment to get it into their garage and so far the only way anyone has seen the damage is through pictures I've submitted, so God knows what they might find under the bodywork when it finally gets looked at in person.

ah jeez!! nightmare! My car was hit around the same time. I bought my Toyota Alphard a week later and the insurance was already affected by the accident (someone hit my car while I was away from it). Madness

Hope you get sorted soon

That's ridiculous.

It's surprising, I knocked a van in a tight carpark once. Left details and agreed with the driver to settle it outside of insurance thinking it would be pennies to buff out a small scuff... Nope, £600 later to reshape the whole door because it was 2mm out. :D

TBF you got lucky!

My ex took our Octavia to a pub once, came out to find the side had been caved in.

A woman later rang the pub and said she might have hit a car as she left the car park as her 'foot slipped off the clutch' and she thought she felt a little contact with a car.

I suspect she was drunk and drove off to avoid being prosecuted as it actually wrote the car off, she hit it that hard it bent major structural bits.

Oh my god!!! It’s happened again!

Driving the Alphard down the m42, traffic comes to a stop. I look in the mirror and see the guy behind looking over his shoulder to try and change lane, goes straight into the back of me!

I don’t know how I keep being in the wrong place at the wrong time so much! 5 non fault accidents in the last 3 years

Yeah that's just pretty **** luck. Technically that would be driving without due care and the police should be prosecuting him, but I guess without a rear camera it's your word against his.

If I find traffic suddenly slows sharply on the motorway I stick my hazards on. A lot of drivers seem to have zero perception of slowing traffic until it's too late. Hopefully hazard lights make them realise that traffic is slowing a lot quicker than it might appear.
