Yeh, i found out the hard way :(

sliced my index finger down to the bone and sliced the tendon too. 1 trip to Deriford, Plymouth and 7 hours later i have 2 stitches in the tendon and 6 on the outside :( punched through a window in a door, not the brightest of things i've done.

My own fault I guess

Anyway, just a tip, punch anything apart from glass, because the glass will win :(

why did u punch glass?

you could probably get away with punching car glass since that shatters into tiny peices rather than into giant blades.

hmm i have it all bandaged up now. I can try and take a pic with my right hand (im left handed) typing is quite awkward too..

I'll take pic when i change the dressing lol

edit: i havent felt any pain yet, might sound wierd but even when i first pulled the skin back and saw my bone i still couldnt feel anything.. think i severed the nerves too.

it doesn't look very bad in this pic.. as you cant see the finger thats all stitched lol!! they put iodine all over the cuts though, thats why it looks pretty manky!

I think so, I don't wanna be seeing that knuckle and bone again.

Its starting to ache now, i have some amphibobioloopie antibiotics though thankfully.

Give the guy a break, i know what its like to cut your tendon as i did exactly that in a glass related incident a few weeks back. Your lucky you got the op done so fast i had to stay in hospital for 4 days due to lack of beds :( . I was taking some glass out of a window and managed to hit the back of my hand on a shard of glass and it went straight through my safety glove and through a tendon. If your worrying about not being able to move your finger like i was then dont, i can now fully use my hand and the scar isn't that bad. After id had the stitches out and the splint removed from my hand it was really stiff and i couldn't move my fingers properly for a few weeks, but now i can move them fine maybe just a little stiffness in the morning. If you have any questions just ask on here or email me.
