New 5 Series?

Just had a gander through the brochure and you don't get much as standard, the entire brochure consists of page after page of options.

It is all about personalisation, the question is how much do you really need and I tend not to be an options snob, I focus on what I want, simple, which is why I had no Sat Nav's in my M3's even though dealers were telling me I wold never get rid of them without.....which I did.

I'm pretty sure I saw one the other day rolling near Bracknell with German plates. The other half was driving and we couldn't catch up with it due to traffic. Sailed past us though and looked  in the flesh

I had a paper one through the post, have to laugh at the colour range for exterior paintwork.

WHICH SHADE OF GREY WOULD SIR LIKE?

That's annoying, Williams promised me one as soon as they were available, still getting the usual quarterly BMW bumph...how long have you had that then?

Don't tap the tow bar of the car in front, or you will need a new ecu... :)

The transmission will grenade itself if you're a Gemini and Jupiter happens to be rising as well.

Came through about 2 weeks ago? It's similar to the PDF but not the same. I think the PDF is for a different region - this contains similar information but the layout is a bit different.

Also a letter saying they'll be contacting me about a 'Preview' as well.

The 520i has ALWAYS been an inline six.
Bar the e12 520i......

There has never been a 4 cylinder 520i E39 or E60..

Which is why you stuck this bit on the end I'd guess? :D (You forgot the e28 520i which has always been a 6 pot too. )

I will be mucho jealous. Please do not buy a 4 pot.

Although I'm kinda counting on them NOT holding value over the first 18 months.

And I love how you tell people that they are idiots for buying brand new cars, yet your sucking up to Housey whos about to buy a brand new car. This forum makes me laugh now

 (YAY Rolleyes!)

There's two factors at play here, I thought I'd reply as I recall Fox possibly saying he wouldnt reply to your posts,

1) You cant buy a second hand F10 5 Series at the moment, let alone a new one.

2) This is not a £15k Clio, its an Executive Saloon, and with it's technology and advancement there is arguably no real alternative if this is what you're after bar a 6 month old E-Class...but then thats not that cheap anyway.

Lets make a third one...

3) It is clear that some people may be buying a car because it is 'cheap to run' or 'economical' to save money, yet will spend the wrong side of £15k on a Golf TSI or Diesel. There is no debate on 'saving money' in this.
