The new agesa is rolling out

A few people have downloaded the new bios and found that memory is now stable at far higher clocks than before

Couple people with x670 boards are reporting their system is stable with DDR5-8200

I had stability issues with some of the later BIOS versions, but only when my DDR5 RAM modules were running at 6000 MT/s.

I had to revert to the AGESA 1.0.0.4 beta BIOS to restore system stability at 6000 MT/s.

But the AGESA 1.0.07B version sounds like it might do the trick, especially once it's past the beta stage.

That’s an incredible jump just for a software update. Maybe the memory controller wasn’t so flakey after all, just poorly optimised!
 
Well it was always odd that the memory controller could handle full speed at 6000 MT/s, but struggled to run with stability > 6000 MT/s even when reducing the memory controller ratio.
 
Do people think it's worth going for something like 6200C32 or 6400C32/C36 RAM now, and still running it at 1:1, or better off with lower latency 6000C30 ?
Should at least make 6000/C30 easier to achieve now. I thought a fair few people had issue trying to hit that?
 
Yes, been able to get up to 6800/7000Mhz so far with my 64GB dual rank kit. However, my 6200C26 tune still gives the overall best performance at the moment.
In time will hopefully improve. It is an awesome thing to happen. Hoping better stability for the people having issues on even the 6000 kits.

6000 c30 (or lower) is still probably optimal

Wont make much difference in actual usage.
Maybe low latency ram can be tweaked a bit more for the extreme users.
Likely 6400mhz low latency ram at 1:1 might be doable for most if the cpu can handle it.
 
MSI says it's achieved 8600 and Gigabyte says it's gotten over 9000 on its b650e Tachyron board

Gigabyte provided the ram specs, they used a 32gb ddr5 kit rated for 8400 and overclocked it to 9050 using 1.38v and it's using CL54 timings
