New Agesa released 1.0.0.7B, massive memory speed boost for Ryzen 7000 on AM5, up to 8200MT/s now stable on Ryzen!

So it's not memory speed bottlenecking it, GPU limiting it?

The only way you are going to get faster speeds is if you buy ram thats maybe 7800mhz and CL34 or something tighter, so already has the speeds as well as the tight timings of 6000mhz kits now, even then then IF on AMD chips is going to run 1:2 as its not going to do 3000, currently it tops out around 2200 if you get a golden chip.

something like this: https://www.gskill.com/product/165/374/1668740011/F5-7800J3646H16GX2-TZ5RK
you could probably push that to 8000mhz with slightly tighter timings.

Thisnis even at 720p cpu bottlenecks

It's the higher latency from the timings, we need kits with better timings, just adding higher speeds isn't doing anything above existing 6200 CL30 performance

Fabric bandwidth bottleneck. To quote one of our hardcore zen guys from our oc group:

“max theoretical bandwidth for Zen4 is actually 72gbps
2x36gbps GMI3 links
but for that you'd need above 2200MHz FCLK and that's not gonna happen
so, at 2200 it's 70400mbps
(FCLKx32=bandwidth)”

You will see gains in synthetics like geekbench 3 mem tests but good luck in games.

In todays GN video they said after the update more PCs will be able to run 6400 in 1:1 which should improve gaming performance

From what I've read so far gaming performance is actually worse when hitting these speeds on the ram? I don't think the update is out yet for me on the MSI tomahawk x670e anyway.
Apparently 6200mhz 1:1 is the new sweet spot, previously 6000mhz anything over requires you to run the IMC at 1:2 unless you have a golden chip.

Im going to be building a new system soon, i know im going with a 4090 and a 7800x3d but not yet decided on mobo and RAM. I'll be interested to know what the best RAM/mobo combo will be with this new agesa.
suspect it will still be the highest speed you could run 1:1 as it was in AM4.
So 6400ish on a good motherboard

ATM im thinking to go with the f5-6400j3239g32gx2-tz5rk gskill trident and the x670 aorus elite.

Id go with a G.Skill kit 6000mhz EXPO kit, G.Skill have said they are no longer going to use Hynix M IC's only the Hynix A IC's and they are very overclockable, get a tight timings kit like CL30, they'll easily overclock to 6400mhz, most people tighten the timings down to CL28 / CL26

This is Hynix A Die https://www.gskill.com/product/165/390/1661410135/F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
