TitleAMI BIOS
Version7E12v13
Release Date2023-05-26
File Size9.28 MB
Description:

Im thinking the non beta version would be best as its a brand new untested board and hope the new bios is out soon.
Yeah msi are being slow to the party
Still waiting for b650 here
Probably go for non beta
Though assume you will upgrade
Soon as new bios drops anyway?

Has anyone experienced problems with the beta bios on the b650e-f gaming?
Was running fine for about a week, on same overclock I used before updating bios but I've been getting a multitude of BSODs over the last few days for various reasons but one that came up most was MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.
All settings back to stock and it's still happening when booting into windows once or twice before it lets me in. Ran various stress tests and no crashes or WHEA errors.
Have also experienced several lock ups whilst I'm in bios where I have to hard reset to get out

Had issues with this BIOS, PC felt like it was stuttering and just strange. I reset to defaults and then set things again but left the RAM at 4800. PC feels ok again, but CineBench score is up ~1K and idle package power is down to ~16W. Never seen the Idle power so low, was at 28-35W with RAM at 5600. Think I will just leave the RAM for now, seems like I always buy faster RAM and end up just setting it to default as its just too much hassle. Might just upgrade to the cheapest 96GB kit I can find, was going to get 6400/6800 kit.

Yeah didnt think of that, good luck mate. Im about to start underclocking my new system but i might wait until the new bios now hmmm...
Luckily it's my stepson new build
So he will be the guinea pig
Typically I had it here yesterday and new bios today
If it goes #### up he's got q flash
Or whatever msi calls bios flash from usb
To roll it back

Yeah it's not the bum twitchy risk of yesteryear.
Definitely not thank god
I remember years ago having to pull a bios chip
And hot plug my mates from same board
While pc was turned on
To be able to fix mine
Abit an8 fatality possibly but so long ago
Not totally sure
But definitely not soldered bios chip luckily
Think I sold it recently in mm still works lol
At least I think its board I sold to rare in here
My memory does suck though

finally updated to v1516 on my asus extreme x670e, not much has changed from the last bios, both still boot up super fast with expo, but had a small play with 7b and can easily hit 6200mhz on a 1:1 ratio, tried 6400mhz but didnt work, tried a few things but still wasnt happy, dropped back to 6200mhz and everything worked right away, a few games i play have seen a decent uplift if fps which is pretty nice 10-12fps extra which at 4k is always a nice to have.

havent tried a 1:2 ratio yet, as i game i'll stick to a 1:1 for best performance.

Asus B650 E-E is now out of beta ( was 1634 iirc ) with 1636

But seeing theres an Agesa 1.0.0.7c likely incoming, think i'll hold off for now.

just been reading up on Agesa 1.0.0.7c and it looks like its a minor update to address problems with users that have samsung dd5 memory modules, luckly i'm using SK Hynix so i wont need the newer version
