Ok, but lend us your polish?

You know you wont be needing it for a while anyway.....

The best stadium I have ever been in, the Stadium of Light in Lisbon, has a capacity of 65,000. The atmosphere in there when Benfica scored, unfortunately against Liverpool, was awesome. The noise was simply deafening. If the stadium has the right design and the right fans the atmosphere is electric. Just look at St James' Park- the football has hardly been anything to shout about but the atmosphere is usually fantastic.

Clubs make more revenue from their hospitality suites and executive box sales. For example, a box at Liverpool is 41k+VAT per season. This only includes your meal, not booze. Say we whack in another 20 boxes and expand lower teir hospitality lounge capacity, that is worth more to the club in revenue than an extra 10,000 seats which aren't guaranteed to be sold.

Sad as it is, football is no longer a working class game and money talks.
