Hi guys.

Antec have brought into stock our new premium PSU range.

Kitguru reviewed the 1000w model and gave it the MUST HAVE AWARD!

Check them out for sale at OcUK.

Just got mine yesterday. Seen it said on the Kitguru site:

The Seasonic VERTEX Series power supplies were initially shipped with 12VHPWR cables. As soon as the ATX standard was updated, we have begun replacing these with the new 12V-2×6 connectors. During this transition period, customers may receive either 12VHPWR or 12V-2×6 cables in the box. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.'

So i wasn't hopeful for the new cable, but can confirm my one came with the 12V-2x6 cable

You talking about the Antec model or the Seasonic?
I didn't even notice it said seasonic at the start of that quote haha. But yeah, seasonic vertex = antec hcg. Even says on the KG site that antec comes with the new cable. Lets blame this mistake on being sleep deprived haha

Looking at picking up the: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ante...-full-modular-power-supply-pow-atc-02747.html

Wanted to confirm whether or not this came with the updated 12v-2x6 cable?

Product description reads as:

Connector:

1 x 24(20+4)pin MB
1 x 16(12+4)pin PCIE 5.1 12VHPWR
2 x 8(4+4)pin CPU
3 x 8(6+2)pin PCI-E
14 x SATA
3 x Molex
As for the new updated 12v-2x6 cable, if it is ATX3.1 then it will be the new connector, this is part of the ATX3.1 spec.

P.S. After reading my post back, this feels very much like I avoided a direct answer (am I a politician now? haha)
So to directly answer, yes the HCG-Pro does have the new format 12x-2x6 cable.

I'm in the market for a new power supply. Hit me with some info @Ace Modder . What tech goodies do the supplies feature?
Power supply go brrrr, graphics card go whrrr :D

From my perspective, the HCG is a good unit. Price is reasonable, it has a decent warranty (10 year), a reliable OEM, platinum efficiency, quality components, passive cooling mode and plenty of ports on the modular panel.

I'd consider the Seasonic Vertex and Rog Strix Platinum to be competing PSUs.

Yeah it does sound decent. I've been reading up on reviews of them so will likely go with one when I'm ready to hit the purchase button! I was initially looking at a vertex but the GX version, not the PX which I believe this is based on going by other comments.
I'm avoiding Asus with how bad their CS is. Already been stung by them in the past.

Just about to push the button on the 1000w PSU but sent ocUK a web ticket RE: price. It can be had slightly cheaper elsewhere so just waiting to see if they will match or not. :)

Just ordered the 1000w from ocuk. Should make for a nicer fit in my case, shorter in depth than current PSU. And a small upgrade to efficiency by going Platinum. And it is ATX3.1 with the 12x-2x6 updated connector, so that is nice. :)
